Description

You will own the design, architecture, and optimization of database solutions across Snowflake, AWS, and Azure.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect database solutions on Snowflake, AWS, and Azure Databricks.
• Manage performance, security, and reliability within the Snowflake Data Cloud platform.
• Plan and manage disaster recovery strategies and data retention policies.
• Deploy, right-size, and manage Snowflake virtual warehouses.
• Automate standard database processes using Unix Shell scripting or Python.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a Snowflake Architect or DBA.
• Expertise with Snowflake, AWS, and Azure Cloud platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of Data Warehouse/ODS, ETL concepts, and modeling structures.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities (SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Python, Tasks, Streams, Time travel).
• Proficiency in writing Snowflake SQL queries and developing ETL scripts in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with database design patterns, including OLAP systems and dimensional modeling.
• Expert in programming with a strong automation mindset.
• Experience as an SAP IQ DBA and with DB2.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced Unix Shell scripting capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of Azure Databricks ecosystem.
