Description

Design, develop, and optimize high-performance SQL Server databases and lead Azure database migration initiatives.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize high-performance SQL Server databases and Azure SQL Database (Hyperscale).
• Lead Azure database migration initiatives and develop cloud-native data solutions.
• Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and execution plans using SQL Server Trace.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build scalable and secure backend data solutions.
• Monitor database performance, security, and compliance.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of database engineering experience with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong experience with Azure Cloud Technologies, including Azure SQL Database (Hyperscale) and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Proficiency in database architecture, data modeling (3NF), and NoSQL (Cosmos DB) for 3–5 years.
• Advanced SQL Server performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ELT/Data Pipeline Tools and Data Stream Processing Technologies.
• Familiarity with distributed databases.
