You will maintain and optimize diverse database platforms in a 24x7 production environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support MySQL, Oracle, Couchbase, AWS RDS, and Kubernetes EKS platforms.
• Perform capacity planning, health checks, and performance tuning for OLTP and decision support systems.
• Implement disaster recovery and high availability solutions across multi-region setups.
• Automate database changes, deployments, and hotfix releases using DevOps practices.
• Design and manage EKS clusters to support containerized microservices.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on Database Administration experience in production environments.
• Expertise with MySQL, AWS RDS, and Oracle (19c RAC/ASM).
• Strong experience with AWS Cloud services (RDS, EC2, IAM, Security Groups, VPC Peering).
• Strong knowledge and experience with Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using YAML, Terraform, and Docker.
• Experience with backup, replication, patching, and database upgrades.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Jenkins/CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of query optimization and indexing strategies for distributed systems.
