Description

Manage and optimize the performance, reliability, and security of Amazon Aurora databases.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure Aurora database instances, including parameters, storage, and networking settings to ensure availability.
• Design efficient database schemas and manage migrations, version upgrades, and schema changes.
• Monitor performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize queries, indexes, and schemas.
• Develop backup and recovery strategies, including testing restoration and managing failover mechanisms.
• Respond to database incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and troubleshoot connectivity or performance errors.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database management.
• Proficiency with AWS and Amazon Aurora.
• Experience in database installation, configuration, and schema design.
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization.
• Expertise in backup, recovery, and high availability strategies.
• Experience implementing database security, encryption, and access controls.
• Ability to perform capacity planning and scalability management.
