Description

Administer, tune, and support enterprise RDBMS platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2 z/OS across hybrid infrastructure.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Administer and configure Oracle Database and SQL Server environments, handling performance tuning, backup/recovery, and SSIS/SSRS/SSAS optimization.
• Manage DB2 z/OS subsystems, executing utilities like REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, and UNLOAD while coordinating with mainframe teams.
• Monitor end-to-end performance, diagnosing slow SQL, batch workloads, and ETL/reporting latency across heterogeneous platforms.
• Conduct capacity planning for CPU, memory, and storage, implementing HA/DR strategies and validating recovery SLAs.
• Script automation and troubleshoot connectivity issues using PowerShell, Bash, JCL, and Python in Windows, Linux/Unix, and z/OS environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle Database administration and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Strong experience with DB2 z/OS utilities and subsystem support.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, JCL, and Python.
• Ability to diagnose complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Experience with data integration, ETL pipelines, and middleware connectivity.
