Description

You will own the design, maintenance, and administration of database environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and administer EDB Postgres, Postgres Distributed, and AWS RDS instances.
• Set up, configure, and monitor PostgreSQL binary and logical replication (e.g., Binary Streaming, BDR).
• Collect diagnostics and tune PostgreSQL and SQL performance.
• Perform performance tuning and automation across Postgres and AWS platforms.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database engineering.
• Expertise in EDB Postgres architecture and internals.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL installation and configuration, including Postgres Plus Advanced Server.
• Strong skills in PostgreSQL monitoring and alerting, specifically PEM.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL procedural languages: PL/pgSQL, PL/TcL, PL/Perl, PL/Python.
• Strong command of SQL and PostgreSQL diagnostics.
• Experience with Linux, specifically Oracle Linux Enterprise.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, KSH, and Perl.
