Description

You will own the design, migration, and maintenance of database systems using DynamoDB and CouchDB.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain DynamoDB schemas for high-scale applications.
• Execute data migration projects involving CouchDB and other storage systems.
• Integrate database services with backend APIs and AWS Lambda functions.
• Optimize query performance and ensure data consistency across distributed systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define data access patterns.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in database engineering.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Amazon DynamoDB.
• Practical experience administering and developing with CouchDB.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services, specifically Lambda and DynamoDB.
• Proven track record of leading data migration initiatives.
• Solid understanding of API design and backend service integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with serverless database architectures.
• Familiarity with NoSQL data modeling best practices.
