Description

Manage and optimize database environments within an AWS ecosystem.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL instances in production.
• Perform SQL tuning to optimize performance and reliability.
• Automate operational tasks using Python or Bash.
• Implement database security best practices and access controls.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain high availability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database engineering.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora.
• Advanced SQL skills and tuning techniques.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, Route 53, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation.
• Scripting experience with Python and Bash.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of database security concepts.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certification and experience with RDS.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices including CI/CD and Git.
