Description

Maintain and enhance database performance, design new storage solutions, and support development teams through script automation and architectural improvements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Optimize existing database programs and monitor system performance to ensure reliability.
• Design new database structures that meet organizational data storage requirements.
• Write and debug support programs and scripts to expand data storage capacity.
• Manage data security, backups, and archiving in adherence to best practices.
• Mentor database administrators and document design, configuration, and performance processes.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database engineering and architectural design.
• Strong proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2012 or higher).
• Experience writing queries with joins, aggregations, and understanding execution/query plans.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes.
• Proficiency using source control and CI/CD tools, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant professional certifications or licenses in database technologies.
