Description

You will support and maintain two Postgres-centric enterprise data platforms within an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support AWS RDS Postgres or Aurora Postgres environments.
• Develop, monitor, and tune database performance.
• Write Python code and shell scripts to invoke SQL and Python processes.
• Implement and manage Jenkins job pipelines for data workflows.
• Use git for version control within a Scrum-based enterprise workflow.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with AWS RDS Postgres or Aurora Postgres.
• Professional Python development experience, including boto3.
• Proficiency in SQL and Unix shell scripting.
• Experience with SFTP and version control using git.
• Experience implementing Jenkins job pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: DMS, Lambda, S3, EC2, and ECS.
• Ability to work within Scrum principles.
• Knowledge of HTML, XML, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Spark SQL.
