Description

You will lead the architecture, design, and automation of database systems across public and private cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud database systems in a 24x7 environment, including participation in an on-call rotation.
• Design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
• Automate database deployment processes to support new builds, patches, and hotfixes.
• Optimize query performance, implement indexes, and perform fine-tuning for performance improvement.
• Execute database health checks to identify slow queries, replication lags, and instance failures.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database engineering or related architecture and design roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, and Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud, including Security Groups, IAM roles, and VPC peering.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools including Docker, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Terraform, and GIT.
• Developer skillset including Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Jenkins/CI/CD, and Groovy.
• Experience with database administration, including backup, recovery, and replication best practices.
• Ability to work with internal and external clients to resolve technical issues.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with PCI compliance, TDE knowledge, and security best practices.
