Description

You will lead database engineering efforts across diverse production systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Support database platforms including MySQL, Oracle, Couchbase, AWS RDS, and Kubernetes EKS in a 24x7 production environment.
• Perform capacity planning, health checks, and performance tuning for mission-critical OLTP and decision support systems.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and high availability solutions across multi-region setups.
• Automate database changes and deployments using modern DevOps practices for patches and hotfixes.
• Design, implement, and manage EKS clusters to support containerized microservices.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on Database Administration experience in production environments.
• Expertise with MySQL, Oracle (19c RAC/ASM), and AWS RDS.
• Strong experience with AWS Cloud services: RDS, EC2, IAM roles, Security Groups, VPC Peering.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and managing EKS clusters.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using YAML, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization for distributed systems.
• Familiarity with backup, replication, patching, and database upgrade frameworks.
