Description

Lead the architecture, design, and day-to-day operations of the database environment. You own scalable solutions and operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural and architectural design for database platforms to ensure scalable and extensible solutions.
• Manage day-to-day operations, including troubleshooting, conducting root cause analysis (RCA), and developing permanent fixes.
• Strategize and implement disaster recovery, backup, and recovery plans.
• Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing current and future system requirements.
• Plan and manage upgrades, migrations, maintenance, installations, and configurations.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of experience in database administration and architecture.
• Proven expertise in architecture planning, migration, and installation.
• Experience in capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Ability to implement disaster recovery and backup/recovery strategies.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing fixes.
• Ability to create technical documentation, including SOPs and data architecture guidance.
• Experience reporting technical progress and status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing shift rosters, Data Responsibility Matrices, and operations manuals.
• Drive service improvement plans (SIP) through automation and performance fine-tuning.
