Description

Execute database migration projects from DB2 to PostgreSQL with full ownership of the process. You will design and implement SQL scripts, validate data integrity, and ensure seamless transition with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

• Map and transform legacy DB2 schemas to PostgreSQL structures.
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Validate data accuracy and consistency across source and target systems.
• Monitor migration performance and troubleshoot errors during execution.
• Document migration procedures and maintain technical records.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration or data engineering.
• Deep proficiency in SQL, including complex joins and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 database management.
• Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture and configuration.
• Proven track record in executing data migration processes.
• Strong analytical abilities to diagnose data discrepancies.
