Description

You will own the performance, stability, and maintenance of critical SQL Server environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize T-SQL queries and execution plans to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage database health through index statistics updates, rebuilds, and partitioning.
• Troubleshoot performance, availability, and scalability issues including blocking and impact analysis.
• Administer SQL Server installations (2016-2022), applying patches and service packs.
• Monitor resources (CPU/RAM/Disk/TempDB) and manage user roles and permissions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration and performance tuning.
• Expertise in T-SQL query analysis and optimization.
• Experience with Always On Availability Groups and Replication.
• Proficiency in managing SSIS jobs and SQL Agent jobs.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, partitioning, and execution plan analysis.
• Familiarity with database security, roles, and permissions.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience in an Application Development environment.

Preferred Skills

• Operational knowledge of SolarWinds and DPA.
• Experience with Dynatrace for API-DB call tracing.
