Description

You will manage and maintain MySQL 8.x and AWS RDS environments to ensure system availability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor databases proactively to take preventive or corrective actions as required.
• Perform database failovers and implement best practices for Aurora RDS MySQL and high availability.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize queries to enhance system responsiveness.
• Manage database user access, logs, logical backups, and recovery methods.
• Execute database migrations, upgrades, and patches to ensure seamless transitions.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in database administration on AWS cloud.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience managing MySQL 8.x and AWS MySQL RDS.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL (Cloud SQL).
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services and Aurora features.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
• Ability to work in rotational 24/7 shifts or on-call rotations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Requirement to work from the customer office on all business working days.
