Description

You will design, implement, and maintain systems instrumental to business functions within the Database Platform team.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define database strategy, architecture, standards, and procedures to preserve data integrity and security.
• Troubleshoot database problems and implement necessary corrective measures.
• Write advanced stored procedures and utilize SQL Server functions and Common Table Expressions.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation for database systems and migration processes.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in database engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL Server, including query plan reading and index tuning.
• Expertise in performance bottleneck analysis, deadlock, and blocking investigation.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL Database features, limitations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Azure CLI for automation.
• Experience using SQL Profiler and Extended Events for deep diagnostics.
• Knowledge of database migration techniques (e.g., Azure Database Migration Service).
• Understanding of data security principles, including firewall rules and encryption in Azure.
• Strong grasp of networking concepts related to database connectivity and migration.
