Description

You will design and develop data models within a Databricks environment, translating business requirements into functional architectures.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Explore source systems of record with limited documentation to understand data structures.
• Develop data models adhering to Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers).
• Design Gold layer models tailored to specific business intelligence use cases.
• Perform data harmonization to support integrated business views.
• Collaborate with data engineers to explain complex model designs and ensure implementation accuracy.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data modeling.
• 5+ years of experience in data modeling and data cataloging.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience creating physical models in Databricks or Unity Catalog.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and SQL programming.
• Practical knowledge of Unity Catalog and data cataloging tools.
• Experience with Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Ability to translate business use cases into functional Gold layer models.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Utility Industry data models.
