Own the design, development, and optimization of scalable data applications on Azure.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize data-driven workflows using Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
• Design, implement, and tune PostgreSQL schemas and queries on Azure Database for PostgreSQL.
• Develop and maintain secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies within Azure.
• Diagnose complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and mentor junior developers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software or data engineering.
• Strong proficiency with Azure Databricks and PySpark/Spark SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for data integration.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Proven track record building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Understanding of data engineering principles and data platform integration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience influencing application and data architecture decisions.
• Knowledge of compliance, security standards, and SLC adherence.
