Description

Lead security design and implementation for a Databricks data science environment integrated with a GCP BigQuery backend.

Responsibilities

• Own security and compliance workstreams for the Databricks deployment project.
• Design, document, and implement reusable security patterns across the data science platform.
• Coordinate with IT Risk Management leads to integrate domain-specific security tooling.
• Design data protection and privacy-centric controls for ingestion, ETL, storage, and analytical consumption.
• Integrate code scanning for vulnerabilities into CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native deployments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in GCP Cloud Security and Application Security Architecture.
• Proven experience securing Databricks platforms with GCP BigQuery backends.
• 5+ years of development experience using Python, PowerShell, YAML, and WebService APIs.
• Ability to design security controls for enterprise data warehouses and ETL processes.
• Experience with AD group structuring and SaaS integration with legacy on-premise systems.
• Expertise in applying industry-standard cybersecurity frameworks and vendor blueprints.
• Strong technical documentation skills for security standards, policies, and infrastructure diagrams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• ISC2 certifications (CISSP or CCSP) or ISACA certifications (CRISC, CISA, CISM).
• Google Certified Security Engineer or Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect.
