Description

You will administer and optimize Windows and Linux server environments within a 24x7 production datacenter.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) infrastructure across physical and virtual platforms.
• Manage VMware infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN), including VM lifecycle management, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Execute expert-level troubleshooting for complex network and application connectivity issues using packet capture tools like Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Manage enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity), including backup operations, validation, and restore testing.
• Drive Major Incident (P1) calls, collaborating with cross-functional teams to restore services within strict SLA requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Wintel administration: Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPO.
• Advanced experience in VMware administration: ESXi, vCenter, VM provisioning, snapshots, and performance troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to analyze network issues using packet capture tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Solid understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, RAID, LUNs, multipathing) and performance optimization.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, and firewalls.
• Experience with enterprise backup platforms such as Veeam, Rubrik, or Cohesity.
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or datacenter operations.
• Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments and lead technical resolution efforts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ITIL processes for change, patching, upgrade, and disaster recovery activities.
• Ability to create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
