Description

Deploy, configure, and maintain x86 server platforms within a high-volume validation lab environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform system bring-up, BIOS/firmware updates, and platform configuration across validation programs.
• Install and configure Linux and Windows Server operating systems for testing.
• Conduct hardware failure isolation for CPUs, memory, PCIe, storage, networking, and power subsystems.
• Troubleshoot L1/L2 network connectivity, validate switch configurations, and support rack-level infrastructure.
• Analyze system logs and firmware outputs to support root cause analysis and defect reproduction.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data center or high-density server environments.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• Proficiency with Python, PowerShell, or Bash for scripting and automation tasks.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows Server OS administration.
• Deep knowledge of BMC/IPMI, serial console, and KVM-over-IP remote management tools.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve rack-level power distribution issues, including PDUs.
• Experience managing rack infrastructure, cabling, airflow, and hardware lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of ESD safety procedures and lab protocols.

Preferred Skills

• Experience collaborating with BIOS, firmware, and hardware engineering teams.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking and asset management workflows.
