You will perform hands-on maintenance and support for data center hardware and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, stage, set up, and perform hardware startups and shutdowns for racks, drives, and switches per established protocols.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, replacing faulty components to minimize disruption.
- Verify grounding, labeling, and cabling against safety protocols and Network Design Tasks during execution.
- Decommission hardware for simple changes like memory upgrades following standard procedures.
- Report and escalate incidents according to established procedures and maintain ticket completion against KPIs and SLAs.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a data center technician.
- Exceptional server hardware knowledge, including component and system failure analysis.
- Solid experience utilizing IPMI for diagnostics and administering hardware software tools.
- Experience with Windows Server OS and WinPE OS administration.
- Network troubleshooting capability across Layer-1, Layer-2, and Layer-3.
- Experience setting up Virtual Machines and managing environment configurations.
- Familiarity with basic Linux and Windows scripting.
- Ability to work autonomously within a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Linux PXE services.
- CCNA certification or equivalent experience.
