Description

You will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of end-to-end monitoring and observability solutions using DataDog.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement DataDog monitoring solutions, including custom metrics, dashboards, alerts, and synthetic monitoring.
• Architect and manage DataDog and ServiceNow integration to automate incident management workflows and CMDB synchronization.
• Oversee deployment and management of AWS resources such as EC2, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and S3.
• Drive system reliability through SLO/SLI definitions, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis during high-severity incidents.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on monitoring, logging, and observability best practices.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with DataDog, including complex dashboards and custom metrics.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
• 2+ years of experience integrating DataDog with ServiceNow for incident management and CMDB synchronization.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or Bash.
• Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and distributed systems.
• Proven experience leading teams or technical projects in a cloud operations environment.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kubernetes monitoring and log aggregation.
• Familiarity with Prometheus or Grafana.
• ServiceNow ITOM modules experience (Discovery, Event Management, CMDB).
