Description

You will maintain production data environments at scale and operate distributed data systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Operate production data systems including Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Kafka.
• Manage OLAP and OLTP databases such as MySQL, Postgres, and Redshift.
• Automate infrastructure and configuration using tools like Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform.
• Develop scripts in Python or other languages to support data operations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience maintaining production environments at scale.
• 1-3+ years of experience operating Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Kafka in production.
• Proficiency with MySQL, Postgres, and Redshift.
• Hands-on experience with Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform.
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Ability to code or script in at least one language, preferably Python.
• Experience with production ETL pipelines.
• Experience with public cloud infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional configuration management or CI/CD tools.
