Description

You will manage and stabilize DataPower infrastructure environments, ensuring operational stability and system health. You will deploy physical and virtual appliances, manage firmware updates, and execute root cause analysis for incidents.

Responsibilities

• Deploy new physical and virtual DataPower appliances and manage firmware updates.
• Own operational stability by supporting incoming requests, incidents, and change requests.
• Execute root cause analysis and implement procedural enhancements and best practices.
• Monitor system health using dashboards, reports, and alerts to identify issues.
• Participate in a weekly 24x7 on-call rotation and perform after-hours changes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in DataPower infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with the full lifecycle of DataPower, including migration between form factors.
• Proficiency in managing certificates and related objects.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex configuration and operational issues.
• Experience deploying new devices within DataPower environments.
• Knowledge of Python, Ansible, or shell scripting for automation.
• Experience with Splunk for dashboarding, reporting, and alerting.
• Familiarity with OpenShift.

Preferred Skills

• API Connect experience, including APIC v10.
• DataPower on OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Cloud Pak for Integration.
