Description

You will administer, troubleshoot, and advise on IBM DataPower and API Connect platforms.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and performance optimization for mission-critical applications.
• Manage security configurations including Mutual Auth, SSO, SAML, encryption, and signing.
• Configure and maintain IBM API Connect components: Cloud Manager, API Manager, Gateway, and Developer Portal.
• Support migration efforts between APIC v5 and v10.
• Advise development teams on best practices for configurations, installations, and migrations.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of production support experience with DataPower and API Connect.
• Expertise in XSLT coding and Front Side logic on DataPower v2018 firmware.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, GET/POST, and CRUD operations.
• Proficiency in OAuth 2, API Key Manager, JSON, JWT, and JWKS.
• Experience with Micro Services platform architecture and deployment.
• Ability to implement messaging in highly available clustered environments.
• Scripting proficiency in Python and Shell (bash, ksh).

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or MS in Engineering.
