Description

You will administer and maintain IBM InfoSphere DataStage environments, ensuring infrastructure stability and performance.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain DataStage 11.5 and 11.7 environments, including installation, patching, and OS upgrades.
• Design and resize shared environments based on project requirements and perform capacity planning.
• Manage engine services, monitor logs, configure security, assign roles, and manage project permissions.
• Ensure infrastructure stability through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolving hung processes or job locks.
• Document runbooks for installations, upgrades, and disaster recovery plans.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure operations and administration of DataStage environments.
• Hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere installation, support, and configuration.
• Proficiency with QualityStage and Information Analyzer.
• Experience configuring data source plug-ins, connectors, and ODBC settings.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and the InfoSphere suite.
• Ability to manage security, environmental parameters, and service packs.
• Experience working with IBM support via ticketing systems to resolve technical issues.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate education.

Preferred Skills

• Experience troubleshooting production incidents and optimizing ETL performance.
• Deep understanding of ETL design and implementation best practices.
• Availability for occasional weekend or after-hours work for software and OS upgrades.
