Description

Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure and data solutions to support production systems at scale.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain platform uptime, performance, stability, and scalability.
• Design, guide, and mentor system architecture and design.
• Develop and maintain a public API and robust, extensible solutions.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and DBAs to build ETL, Data Warehouse systems, and value-added features.
• Provision, configure, and monitor server resources across onsite and cloud environments.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in software or systems development.
• Strong background in Linux administration and computer networks.
• Experience with big data technologies: Kafka, Hadoop, Spark.
• Proficiency in at least one language: PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Elixir, or Go.
• Strong experience with cloud providers (AWS, Digital Ocean, Google Cloud).
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools (Puppet, Ansible, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of IT security best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience defining deployment strategies for client-facing and internal tool systems.
• Ability to work with Operations to automate solutions and increase service reliability.
