Description

You will design and implement ETL processes using DataStage to transform legacy mainframe applications into modern workflows.

Responsibilities

• Author DataStage jobs and sequences with readable annotations and standard conventions.
• Create detailed design documents and Software Requirements Specifications (SRS).
• Advise SMEs on technical strategies for transforming mainframe data, dependencies, and routine handling.
• Manage application deployment with deployment teams to ensure timely issue resolution and certification.
• Provide ongoing support for deployed applications.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience implementing DataStage processes in production environments.
• Proven experience transforming legacy mainframe jobs using DataStage.
• Ability to read and interpret JCL and COBOL programs.
• Proficiency in scheduling and exception handling for jobs running via Autosys.
• Experience with DB2 and Unix Scripting.
• Strong understanding of Git version control.
• Ability to interface DataStage processes using 3rd party Java utilities, web services, and REST APIs.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Mainframe, COBOL, and JCL expertise.
• Java and IBM-ODM knowledge.
