Description

You will manage and optimize core database infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement observability using APM tools, log aggregators, and metrics monitoring.
• Define and monitor SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing for high-throughput systems.
• Lead incident response for database outages and conduct root cause analysis through blameless postmortems.
• Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and SREs throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database engineering.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with DB2, Oracle, and Sybase.
• Ability to read query plans and perform query optimization.
• Experience with proactive capacity monitoring for databases, services, market data, and quotas.
• Knowledge of optimizing code, database configurations, and storage for efficiency.
• Experience designing and maintaining core database infrastructure.
• Any Graduate degree.
