Description

You will manage and support DB2, Postgres, and Oracle databases on Azure cloud platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production incidents, performing root cause and impact analysis.
• Manage high availability and disaster recovery using HADR, Always On, Golden Gate, RAC, and Data Guard.
• Execute database maintenance including backups, restores, patching, and software deployments.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring tools.
• Implement operational automation via shell, PowerShell, or Python scripts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years supporting DB2 (v10+), Postgres, and Oracle.
• Experience managing databases on Azure cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, Perl, or Shell.
• Knowledge of JSON and database automation.
• Experience with backup, recovery models, and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with ITIL change and incident management.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to DevOps tools, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security administration (PAM, PIM, DAM, SIEM).
