Description

You will manage and maintain Adabas, Natural, and DB2 database environments on z/OS, ensuring 24/7 availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 24/7 availability and performance for application databases, including on-call support.
• Implement and enforce environment standards for object naming, security, and backup/recovery.
• Manage database backup, recovery, and the execution of disaster recovery plans.
• Optimize database maintenance tasks such as updating statistics and managing capacity.
• Troubleshoot application database issues and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Extensive experience supporting DB2 in z/OS, specifically DB2 v12 or greater.
• Proficiency with Natural, Adabas, and the Adabas/Natural suite.
• Hands-on experience with z/OS, VSAM, EntireX, JCL, CICS, TSO, ISPF, and REXX.
• Experience using IBM Mainframe Utilities, DB2 Admin Tool, and RACF security tools.
• Ability to write scripts to automate jobs including Reorg, Runstats, Modify, Image copy, Restore, Load/Unload, and Repair.
• Working knowledge of ITIL Change and Incident management processes.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Office 365, and text editors.
