Description

You will own database maintenance and application development on the IBM i series platform.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain database applications on the IBM i series platform.
• Convert RPG code to SQL stored procedures and implement commitment control.
• Create expert SQL stored procedures, table functions, and UDFs for DB2.
• Perform performance tuning, logging, and exception handling within DB2.
• Build application development interactions with front ends using REST APIs.

Required Skills

• Expert-level SQL stored procedures development on DB2 IBM i series.
• Proficiency in reading RPGIV, RPGLE, and RPGFree programs.
• Experience with embedded SQL and conversion from RPG to SQL stored procedures.
• Familiarity with IBM tools such as Aldon, RDI, and ACS.
• Application development using REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Exposure to Python and microservices architecture.
• 10+ years of professional experience.
