Description

You will manage and maintain DB2 database environments, focusing on object creation, performance tuning, and data integrity.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create and update application database objects including tables, functions, indexes, and procedures.
• Perform application-specific SQL tuning, diagnostics, and implement recommended changes.
• Manage database backups, restores, and event monitors across production and test environments.
• Monitor database events, batch job execution, and application database growth.
• Execute data repairs, SQL verification, and implement SQL code for production and test environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a DB2 Database Administrator.
• Proficiency in SQL for tuning, diagnostics, and code implementation.
• Experience managing database backups and restores in production environments.
• Knowledge of database growth tracking and management.
• Experience with batch job monitoring and execution support.
• Ability to implement index and partition recommendations.
• Understanding of SOX controls regarding data provisioning.
