Description

You will manage and optimize DB2 LUW environments to ensure stability and high performance.

Responsibilities

• Execute database upgrades, migrations, and new environment setups.
• Perform SQL tuning, index analysis, and provide performance recommendations to development teams.
• Troubleshoot database issues and handle L3 level incident and problem management.
• Implement fixpacks, security patches, and participate in disaster recovery exercises.
• Monitor production databases, DBM settings, and manage ticket resolutions within agreed SLAs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Database Administration.
• Deep knowledge of core DB2 LUW concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL tuning, stored procedures, and application monitoring.
• Advanced scripting skills for automation.
• Experience with DB2 HADR and HACMP.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows platforms.
• Ability to configure DB2 Connect Server/Client and install ODBC drivers.
• Competency in analyzing metadata, metrics, and trending.
• Experience managing production throughput and space usage.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Qreplication.
