Description

You will serve as a hands-on Technical Lead responsible for the maintenance and support of multiple high-volume, multi-terabyte DB2 LUW databases. You will own the stability and performance of these mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support high-volume, multi-terabyte DB2 LUW databases in mission-critical environments.
• Lead SQL and database performance tuning efforts in collaboration with development teams.
• Build database schemas, tables, procedures, and permissions.
• Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication, and failover processes.
• Install, test, and implement upgrades and patches.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of related technical experience.
• 8+ years of DB2 LUW database administration.
• 5+ years of experience managing or leading a database team.
• Expertise in SQL coding and performance tuning.
• Extensive experience with backup, recovery, and DB2 installation.
• Experience with failover/failback using HADR and replication using CDC.
• Database performance engineering experience in high-volume, OLTP applications.
• Experience managing differences between transaction-based and data warehouse structures.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IBM InfoSphere Optim Archive product suite.
• Proficiency with ER Studio for data modeling and configuration management.
