Description

You will manage and maintain DB2 database applications focused on high availability and peak performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain DB2 applications ensuring 24x7 availability and maximum performance.
• Perform all DB2 DBA functions, including SQL code reviews and enforcing security standards.
• Develop and support DB2 Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Referential Integrity constraints.
• Manage backup and recovery strategies and participate in Disaster Recovery planning.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support and configuration access support for DB2 Connect.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in DB2 z/OS Database Support, specifically DB2 12 for zOS or higher in high transaction environments.
• Expertise in high availability 24x7 designs and managing large data stores.
• Proficiency in complex SQL coding and tuning, including Data Warehouse and OLAP design.
• Experience with DB2 V10 utilities setup and execution.
• Knowledge of DB2 attachments/interfaces such as DRDA and DB2Connect.
• Familiarity with mainframe skills including TSO, ISPF, JCL, and DFSORT.
• Proficiency in Data Modeling (logical and physical design).
• Experience with ETL processes, ideally using Informatica.

Preferred Skills

• Strong ability to organize workflow and prioritize technical projects.
