Description

You will manage and maintain DB2 databases in high-transaction production environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Tune SQL performance and manage DSNZPARM for optimal system efficiency.
• Design, model, and implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
• Develop and maintain Stored Procedures, Triggers, and enforce Referential Integrity.
• Utilize DB2 utilities and tools like Data Studio, Query Monitor, and OPTIM for monitoring and operations.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with DB2 z/OS 12+.
• Expert proficiency in SQL and DSNZPARM tuning.
• Strong knowledge of mainframe environments, including TSO/ISPF, JCL, and REXX.
• Experience with DFSORT and mainframe utilities.
• Ability to perform logical and physical database design and modeling.
• Familiarity with DB2 Admin/Automation Tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IMS DB or ETL tools like Informatica/InfoSphere.
• DB2 Certification.
