Description

You will manage and maintain the Teradata DB2 environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade Teradata database systems and utilities.
• Manage user accounts, roles, and access privileges for database security.
• Execute routine data backups and manage recovery processes to maintain data integrity.
• Monitor database health, performance metrics (CPU, I/O, space), and configure alerts.
• Tune SQL queries, analyze explain plans, and implement performance enhancements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a DB2 DBA.
• Proficiency in SQL and advanced query optimization.
• Experience with Teradata database systems.
• Knowledge of database security implementation and auditing.
• Skills in performance tuning and workload management.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and testing.
