Description

You will manage the full lifecycle of DB2 mainframe databases, from analysis through decommissioning.

Responsibilities

• Execute DB2-related z/OS Database software upgrades, including DB2 Database and data replication products like IIDr with CDC.
• Administer DB2 environments, ensuring proper data replication functionality is operational.
• Manage and maintain DB2 instances using relevant utilities and recovery options.
• Apply and manage security controls for DB2 Access using ACF2 and RACF2.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of DB2 DBA experience on z/OS.
• At least 1 year of experience with data replication, specifically using IIDR with CDC.
• In-depth knowledge of Mainframe DB2 DBA (DB2 on z/OS) with a focus on replication.
• Strong understanding of Infosphere Change Data Capture.
• Experience with DB2 Utilities and VSAM file structures, including IDCAMS utility.
• Solid understanding of DB2 recovery options.
• Working knowledge of BMC tools: Change Manager, Catalog Manager, Mainview, and SQL Performance.
• Familiarity with ITSM Processes and tools, such as BMC Remedy.
