Description

Manage and maintain the DB2 database environment, ensuring high availability and performance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems performance tuning and capacity planning to optimize resource utilization.
• Analyze and tune application-related performance and access paths using SQL.
• Implement and support disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Interface with and install OEM vendor tools for database management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Expert-level proficiency in DB2 administration and maintenance.
• Strong skills in SQL coding, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Practical experience with capacity planning principles.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery procedures and implementation.
• Experience utilizing OEM tools for database management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a hybrid or on-site infrastructure environment.
