Description

You will provide engineering and operational database administration support across various platforms and business lines.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage database software installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and routine system reviews to ensure acceptable performance levels.
• Implement and maintain complex data replication configurations and backup/recovery procedures to protect data integrity.
• Collaborate with application groups on logical and physical database design to support infrastructure requirements.
• Provide on-call support for database environments and participate in disaster recovery testing and documentation.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with DB2 LUW.
• 7+ years of experience with RHEL.
• Experience with IBM IIDR data replication or similar CDC-based replication technologies.
• Proficiency in shell scripting, including bash, kshell, cshell, python, or perl.
• Proficiency with configuration management and automation using Ansible.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
