Description

You will manage and maintain DB2 environments supporting large-scale, enterprise financial and payroll applications.

Responsibilities

• Install and migrate releases by working with application development teams.
• Support execution of data fixes and define/execute database recovery functions.
• Define and execute standard database tuning procedures, including runsstats and reorgs.
• Author and validate procedures for all database processes.
• Assist systems areas with tool upgrades and participate in Disaster Recovery drills.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience supporting DB2 v10 or higher on IBM z/OS.
• Solid experience with DB2 database administration duties (backup/recovery, reorgs, troubleshooting).
• Experience with IBM IMS V12 database management or higher.
• Familiarity with CICS transaction server.
• Ability to author REXX scripts.
• Experience troubleshooting assembler code and DB2 embedded within COBOL programs.
• Knowledge of designing solutions using Oracle Transparent Gateway.
• Experience with Cobol, Oracle, Db2, Z/os, and Ibm Ims.
