Description

You will manage and maintain DB2 environments supporting large-scale enterprise financial and payroll applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install and migrate releases in collaboration with application development teams.
• Support execution of data fixes and define database recovery functions.
• Execute standard database tuning procedures, including runsstats and reorgs.
• Author and validate procedures for all database processes.
• Assist with tool upgrades and participate in Disaster Recovery drills.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience supporting DB2 v10 or higher on IBM z/OS.
• Solid experience with DB2 database administration duties, including backup/recovery and troubleshooting.
• Experience with IBM IMS V12 database management or higher.
• Familiarity with CICS transaction server.
• Ability to author REXX scripts.
• Experience troubleshooting assembler code and DB2 embedded within COBOL programs.
• Knowledge of designing solutions using Oracle Transparent Gateway.
• Proficiency with Cobol, Oracle, Db2, Z/OS, and IBM IMS.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science.
