Description

You will manage and support complex database infrastructure across production, staging, and development environments.

Manage support issues proactively and reactively, liaising with business and system users.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade DB2, Sybase, Oracle, and SQL Server RDBMS products.
• Design and implement database solutions to meet specific business and technical requirements.
• Perform database troubleshooting and continuous performance monitoring.
• Develop automation and self-service tools for DBA and application teams using Perl and Shell scripts.
• Manage support issues proactively and reactively, liaising with business and system users.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Advanced expertise with IBM Db2 LUW and Sybase ASE.
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS technologies including SQL Server and Oracle.
• Proficiency in Unix environments.
• Scripting experience using Perl.
• Working knowledge of GIT.
• Experience with internal proprietary tools such as db2ts, syts, Oracle Assist, SQL Assist, dbap, tam, kuu, afs, vms, and Train.
• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent degree.
