Description

You will manage and support multiple DB2 LUW environments across development, QA, training, and production.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Plan, document, and execute database upgrades, migrations, and new environment setups.
• Develop moderate to complex SQL statements for ETL and data migration processes.
• Collaborate with application developers to design, implement, and test database changes.
• Optimize SQL performance through index recommendations and query tuning.
• Design upgrade strategies including checklists, milestones, and fallback procedures.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL.
• 3+ years of experience with DB2 LUW.
• 3+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• 1+ years of experience with Relational Data Modeling.
• 1+ years of experience with Erwin.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Quest Toad for DB2 LUW, IBM DataQuant, or QMF.
• Experience with Unix shell scripting (ksh, csh, bash, or sh) and COBOL.
• Experience with DBI Software’s Performance Suite for DB2 LUW.
