Description

You will manage DB2 databases across multiple lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain database servers, monitoring system health, performance, availability, and security.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex database issues in real time to provide end-to-end resolution.
• Assist developers with schema refinement and complex query tuning.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, database patches, upgrades, and release deployment activities, including 24x7 production support.
• Automate regular processes, track technical issues, and document all configuration changes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration or related operations management roles.
• Expertise in DB2 administration on V11.1 and V11.5 across Linux, Unix, and Windows platforms.
• Hands-on experience with HADR and CDC.
• 2+ years of experience using EMC Networker for database administration.
• Proficiency with db2top and CA7 scheduler.
• Strong shell scripting skills for process automation.
• Experience managing databases of medium to high complexity with multiple concurrent users.
• Any Graduate degree.
