Description

Manage and maintain DB2 LUW databases on Linux platforms. Own the full lifecycle of database infrastructure, from installation to disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and patch DB2 LUW software across Linux, Unix, and Windows environments.
• Execute performance tuning for high-scale databases and manage backup and recovery processes.
• Configure data replication using federation and tools such as Attunity or DTShare.
• Set up disaster recovery databases and conduct regular DR tests to minimize data loss.
• Collaborate with development teams on object deployment and automate tasks using shell scripting or Ansible.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in DB2 DBA roles.
• Deep expertise in DB2 LUW database installation and configuration.
• Proficiency in Linux platform administration.
• Strong experience in backup, recovery, and security management.
• Hands-on experience with shell scripting or Ansible for automation.
• Proven ability in database design, patch management, and version control.
• Knowledge of capacity planning, monitoring, and compliance standards.
• Experience with data replication and federation tools.
