Description

Manage and maintain DB2 LUW databases on Linux platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer, install, upgrade, and patch DB2 LUW databases on Linux, Unix, and Windows.
• Manage backup and recovery operations and conduct performance tuning for high-scale databases.
• Set up DR databases and execute regular disaster recovery tests to minimize data loss.
• Automate administrative tasks using shell scripting or Ansible.
• Collaborate with development teams on object deployment and data replication using federation, Attunity, or DTShare.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a DB2 DBA.
• Expertise in DB2 LUW installation, configuration, and patch management on Linux, Unix, or Windows.
• Proficiency in performance tuning, backup, recovery, and security management.
• Experience with database design, version management, and capacity planning.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting.
• Knowledge of automation monitoring and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning.
• Experience with Attunity or other data replication tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DTShare for data replication.
